Rani is a Family Mediator and a Counsellor. She is an Accredited member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators and a Registered Social Worker. She has a Master of Social Work Degree , a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, a Postgraduate Certificate in Family Mediation and over 18 years of experience working in child welfare.
As a Family Mediator, Rani endeavors to provide a peaceful solution to family conflict and helps clients reach an agreement with minimum emotional fallout. Her goal is to listen and support her clients as they work to move forward with their lives. She offers services in English, Hindi, Sindhi, and Gujarati. She can also comprehend Punjabi and Marathi.
Rani helps her clients focus on solutions and their future, while helping them design an action plan that is both practical and effective. She possesses strong clinical skills pertaining to family functioning and values the diversity of every individual and family. She views each family through a lens of anti-oppression, equity, and inclusion.
She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to help clients manage symptoms like depression and anxiety and develop effective coping strategies. Fast-paced and hectic lives, can lead to many stress-related issues which Rani can help clients manage by developing resilience and effective stress management skills through personalized strategies and support.
